Fairy Festival and Fantasy Faire coming to town June 20-21
Submitted by DWF Staff on Tue, 06/16/2009 - 11:38The Midsummer Fairy Festival and Fantasy Faire is coming to Wake Forest June 20 and 21. It's being organized and run by the folks who brought the NC Renaissance Faire to town in March and April.
The Fairy Festival is also being held at the former Wake Forest Country Club on Capital Boulevard. It is planned to be a magical place for fairies, elves, and fantasy creatures to meet and play.
The event is geared towards kids, so it will most likely be family friendly. Also expect a healthy number of typical Renaissance Faire vendors and performers to be there, including the pageantry of the Royal Court. There will also be a costume contest. And for parents of boys, the Web site says there'll be swordfighting, too!
Hopefully, she'll remember this little hideaway

It is known as Forgotten Pond, but it hardly looks forgotten at all.
