GC5 Vintage hosting Son Shine Photography opening

GC5 Vintage & Gifts is hosting an opening on Sunday, Feb. 21 of art by Son Shine Photography. This is the first time Son Shine has had an exhibit in GC5's building on S. White Street in Downtown Wake Forest.
The opening is 2 to 5 p.m. and there will be a tasting of Wheatstone Homegrown products.

Do you have a blank space on one of your walls just screaming out for a green vertical banner? Are you one of those obsessive flag people who hangs a new flag for every holiday or season?
If so, the town has a deal for you.
For just $20, area residents can buy one of the green banners that adorned the light poles around the downtown area for the past year in honor of the town's centennial celebration. The banners read: "Wake Forest Centennial 1909-2009".
In turn, the town will donate the entire proceeds to Project H.O.P.E. (Helping Others by Providing Electricity), which is a town-created fund to help residents pay their utility bill.
The banners can be purchased at Town Hall, 401 E. Elm Street. Cash, check, Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Call town information officer Bill Crabtree at 554-6196 for more information.
2009 Paint Party Participants Exhibit

Sunflower Studio & Gallery features the 2009 Paint Party Participants for AAH's on Friday, December 11th. Those that attended our adult classes in 2009 are asked to bring in their favorite painting to show and/or sale. All guest gallery commissions will go to Tri-Area Ministry and we will also have a donation jar available for those wishing to give support during this critical time of need. We will have live music with Larry Kirwan on the hammered dulcimer and he will have his Christmas CD's available for sale. Also see the latest works of Sunflower Studio's six resident artists. Sunflower Studio & Gallery Features Artist Micah Mullen

The Sunflower guest gallery will feature the unique landscape paintings of artist Micah Mullen. His style of work involves very complicated compositions created with hundreds of grids of varying colors resulting in vibrant, abstracted landscapes. Additionally, come out and see some great works of art by the six resident artists in the Sunflower.
