Art After Hours (Christmas Edition)

Art After Hours happens every second Friday of the month, with live music, gallery events, free horse and carriage rides, and much more!

December's Art After Hours will take place on the Friday, the 11th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, and will feature the following artists and special events:

Spend New Year's Eve Downtown!

The "First Light Wake Forest" will take place downtown on South White Street. The party starts on Thursday, December 31, at 7:00 PM, and goes until 12:30 AM New Year's morning

For the early-birds, there will be a Children’s countdown at 9:00 PM. The party will include face painting, inflatables, and Sleeping Booty, a ten-piece band from Raleigh (sort of). Sleeping Booty will perform at 8:00, 10:00 and 11:30 pm.

Fireworks at midnight.

This event will be brought to you by the Town of Wake Forest.

Wake Forest Christmas Parade

Visit South White Street on December 12 at 1:00 pm to share in the excitement of downtown’s largest event. Over 3,000 people participate in the annual parade, including local bands, the Fire Department, and of course Santa Claus

The Parade begins at the corner of South White Street and
Elm Avenue. To see a map of the route and associated street closings, go to WakeForestDowntown.com.

Breakfast with Santa

Have Breakfast with Santa at the American Legion Post 187 on Sunday, December 13, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. Enjoy All-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage for $5. Proceeds support community veterans projects.

The American Legion Hall is located at 225 E.Holding Ave. Representatives can be reached by phone at (919) 494-2707.

Family Holiday Movie Matinee

Come to Crossroads this Saturday, December 12th, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm to enjoy a showing of The Santa Clause with your children or drop them off to watch the movie while you shop, relax, or dine.

There will also be a special visit from Santa. The event is Free. Crossroads Entertainment, 415 Brooks St., Wake Forest, North Carolina

This event is brought to you by the Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment (GJCAE)
