Helpful resource for landowners straddling the Wake/Franklin counties boundary
Submitted by DWF Staff on Wed, 02/17/2010 - 12:12Do you live near the Wake and Franklin County boundary? Did you know it is being adjusted and some properties in Wake County will soon be in Franklin County?
That's going to have a major affect on people who own property in either county and are expecting certain services. For those with schoolchildren, it may mean changing schools entirely.
WakeGov.com has set up a great resource to help answer the questions of whose property is being affected by the switch. It will also help potential buyers and sellers make informed decisions when purchasing any residential property.
The site is very user-friendly with a map, and search box to find properties by name, address, or parcel number. Just click on the icons on the left side of the page.

Is this house in Wake Forest? MyNC thinks so
Submitted by DWF Staff on Tue, 02/16/2010 - 15:02MyNC.com reported Monday that a house in Wake Forest was badly damaged by an apparent electrical fire.
But take a look at the Google Map location for the house.
It is clearly south of Rolesville. Is that Wake Forest still? Not likely.
